“One love, one heart, let’s get together and feel all right.”
Groundbreaking in his field, BUA is internationally known for his best-selling collection of fine art posters – The DJ being one of the most popular prints of all time. His subjects generally focus on the world of Hip Hop, Rap, DJ’s, Break Dancing, and Urban themes. Due to his love of all music, he decided to create the Icons of Rock Series of giclee on paper.
Jamaican singer-songwriter Bob Marley helped introduce reggae music to the world and remains one of the genre’s beloved artists. Marley fused elements of reggae, ska, and rocksteady in his music and was renowned for his distinctive vocal and songwriting style. He was a longtime member of the Rastafari movement, whose culture was a key element in the development of reggae. As a Rastafarian, Marley supported the legalization of cannabis or “ganja,” which Rastafarians believe is an aid to meditation. In May of 1981, Bob died of cancer after a four-year battle with the disease. BUA’s image incorporates Marley’s recognizable dreadlocks; he is smoking his beloved ganja while wrapped in the Jamaican colors of black, yellow, green, and red.
With only fifty in this special Icons of Rock edition, this is a must-have for any Bob Marley fan!
All images are special order and will take 10 days to two weeks to deliver.
