If you were young and alive in 1964, you know what this piece is all about. At 8 o’clock on February 9th 1964, America tuned in to CBS and The Ed Sullivan Show. The show garnered a 43.7 rating and an 82.6 % share of all the TV’s turned on at the time. That translated to 73 million people gathered in front their TV sets to see The Beatles’ first live performance on U.S. soil.
